Welcome to Baltic Sea Connection, a website produced by the Baltic Sea Unit at the Swedish International Development Agency. Here we present the activities that take place at the Sida Baltic Sea Unit between July 8-13 2007, during "Almedalsveckan", the Almedal week.

The Almedal week is a busy time in Visby, Gotland. It is a tradition since the 1960s for the Swedish political parties to go to Almedalen in Visby every July to debate political issues, arrange seminars and exchange ideas. Almedalen is a big media event in Sweden.

We invite everybody to our premises in "Donnerska huset", at Donners plats in the heart of Visby, where we arrange a number of seminars and events.
